Continued ICU & Critical Care

As a licensed critical care ambulance, we function as a Mobile ICU.  We can offer services that most other providers simply cannot because of our expanded scope of practice and advanced training.  Our crews are staffed with nurses and critical care paramedics with advanced certifications.

Expanded Scope & Capability

ACT RN monitoring an IV infusion in the ambulance. A practice they are familiar with and trained for.

Our expanded scope allows our teams to function in areas where a 9-1-1 ambulance cannot.  Some areas include maintaining or continuing antibiotic therapies, medications for blood pressure management, sedation, and advanced airway management.

Our ambulances can use:

  • Mechanical ventilation

  • Ventilator optimization

  • IV pumps

  • Medication titrations

  • Non-invasive ventilation

    • Optiflow

    • BiPAP

    • CPAP

    • Vapotherm

  • Advanced cardiac devices

  • We can care for patients ages from 1 day and up.

Safe Transfer of Critical Patients

Advanced Critical Transport departing to a patient who needs advanced scope transport to a specialty hospital.

Our primary function is interfacility transports, where we care for patients who cannot get the services they need at the facility they were initially taken to.  These patients can be critical at times with multiple needs or may only require monitoring for the possibility of decompensating before arriving at their final care destination.  We are the bridge to a higher level of care.
